WHY WE BUILD

Odin's Eye Enterprises makes astrology tools and publishes writing on alchemy, hermeticism, and sacred geometry. We want people to be able to use the tools and understand the ideas behind them without paying for a subscription first.

THE ORACLE

Odin's Oracle calculates a birth chart from a date, time, and place. AI helps write interpretations of that chart. The calculations and the interpretation are separate, and the reading should identify the placements or transits it uses.

Birth Chord translates planetary positions into musical intervals. Synastry compares two charts. These are experiments in how we read patterns and make meaning from them.

THE SYMBOLS

A natal chart and a Birth Chord both start with a specific moment and a set of rules. Their interpretations are open to question. Better data should help us examine astrology more carefully.

The essays explore these traditions as symbolic systems. Historical references, our own interpretations, and speculation should be distinguishable to the reader.

THE CATHEDRAL

The Cathedral gathers the tools and writing in one place. The free chart and public essays are available to everyone. Optional candle contributions help pay for hosting, research, and further work.

You should be able to understand what a tool asks for, what its result depends on, and where its limits are.

THE NAME

The name came from a German Shepherd puppy named Odin. He had seven months of pure love and left a mark that outlived him. The company name came later. The work followed after that.

The Norse Odin's association with knowledge, language, and runes also informs the project. But the puppy came first.
